After having her first baby via Cesarean in 2018, Brooke wanted to find a way to regain her core strength and learn practical skills to protect herself and her child. “There is not a more helpless feeling than to see someone else who is hurting and not knowing how to help. I love that I’ve found something that gives me the tools I need to be able to stand up and help a person in need, whether it’s my own family, a co-worker, or a passerby. Learning Krav Maga has shown me that I don’t have to sit back and watch the world move around me or freeze in a moment of decision. The mental fortitude that I have built gives me confidence that in an unfortunate moment I would be able to make a quick and effective decision so that others and myself could go home to our families.  It’s also hard to believe that I now have more core strength than I did when I was tumbling competitively!” Learning Krav Maga from a former Legionnaire, Brooke was the first of Scott Yingling’s students to become an instructor. She began her training in 2019 and became an IKMF-certified G1 instructor in 2020.
